CARNIVAL DAY WALK. GILL BECK AND HAWKSWORTH CIRCULAR. SATURDAY 8 JUNE. 5 miles.
Meet at the Potted Meat Stick in the centre of Baildon, at 10.00am for this walk of medium difficuly.
We will enjoy lovely views over the Gill Beck Valley as we walk along the top of The Eaves, past the White House and Low Spring Farm, and descend into the Gill Beck Valley. We will then ascend towards Hawksorth, crossing some stiles that require a reasonable level of mobility and some of the paths may be a little rough. From Hawksworth, we will be rewarded by excellent long-distance views before returning to Baildon across the golf course, Tong Park reservoir and a lesser known path to bring us back to Baildon for around 12.30, in good time to get a bite of lunch and enjoy the Carnival.
