“LOCKDOWN WALKS” ROUTES

We have now uploaded route-descriptions for a total of 5 “Lockdown Walks” on the Baildon Walkers are Welcome website. You can access these by clicking on the banner at the top of our website Home Page.

The routes range from 3 miles to 7 and a half miles and all start and finish in Baildon. All the routes take you on paths where it is relatively easy to avoid passing too close to other people – just close enough for a cheery greeting.

All the walks offer you extensive and uplifting views. If you love walking through bluebell woods, then Walks 1 and 5 will fit the bill – but don’t leave it too long, as the bluebells will be past their best soon. You may hear skylarks, curlews, blackbirds and robins singing, and perhaps spot a kite flying overhead.

You may also like to get ideas for other local walks by checking out the other downloadable routes in our DIY Walks section on our website at https://baildonwalkersarewelcome.org/diy-walks/

As all usual refreshment outlets are closed, we would advise taking water and any snacks you might need.

We hope these routes will encourage you to get out and make the most of our lovely surroundings whilst the weather is good and many of us have more time on our hands than usual.
