Despite now encouraging “social distancing” and additional isolation for us all, the Government is still encouraging us to continue to go out walking and enjoying the fresh air in places where this would not bring us into close contact with other people.
Here are suggestions of three local places where you could do a walk of around an hour and that are not currently too muddy, so could be done without needing to put walking boots on:
- Top of Baildon Moor; well-surfaced track from top car park to Dobrudden Caravan Park; choose a good path up to the trig point; do a circle of the top of Baildon Moor.
- Shipley Glen / Bracken Hall Green.
- The canal towpath from Saltaire in the direction of Hirst Wood and Bingley.
For many of us, getting out in the fresh air is an important part of staying healthy!
