BAILDON PEACE WALK (WW1). A BAILDON WaW SECOND SATURDAY GUIDED WALK @ Meet at Peace Garden near Baildon Community Link.

Please note this walk starts from the Peace Garden near Baildon Community Link on Cliffe Avenue (rather than our usual starting point of the Potted Meat Stick)  for a short walk around Baildon sites with wartime connections to mark the centenary of the end of hostilities of the First World War on November 11th 1918.

This circular walk is “a walk and talk experience” for Remembrance weekend, led by Eddie Nash, Mike Lawson and Malcolm Leyland. The route will be from the Peace Garden near the Baildon Community Link Centre, to the War Memorial in Hallfield Drive, St Johns Church, up Northgate and onto the Moors, past the rifle ranges and Searchlight stations and then to Tong Park Cenotaph via Strawberry Fields and back into Baildon centre to finish.

This walk is run in conjunction with the Friends of Bracken Hall.
