Successful “COUNTRYSIDE QUESTION TIME” AND AGM took place on Thursday 14 June.

24 local residents came along to the Baildon Walkers are Welcome AGM and Countryside Question Time on Thursday 14 June.

Bob Davidson, Chair for the past year, gave a report on the wideranging work of the group over the past year, including leading guided walks, producing the “Welcome to Baildon” photo-book, and keeping footpaths cut back and passable.

The following people were re-elected to the committee for the coming year:

Bob Davidson, Richard Freeman, Eddie Nash, June Brown, Jan Thom, Mike Lawson, Paul Robinson, Chris Grogan and Chris Flecknoe. There are 3 vacancies on the committee – which all those involved say is a lot of fun to be involved with. Please email us at info@baildonwalkersarewelcome.org if you might be interested to join the committee. We generally meet in a morning around 5 times per year.

Following the AGM, a Panel of local “experts “ spoke abotu and answered questions on countryside, walking, and rights of ways issues.

The meeting was also attended by Andy Jones, the new owner of the former reservoir site on Baildon Moor. Andy informed the meeting of his plans for the site which include a fishing pond and production of Baildon bottled water.
