26 local people came along to Baildon WaW AGM on Tuesday 11 July, and enjoyed a photographic presentation given by our Vice-Chair, Chris Grogan, about “A Dales Highway”, the long-distance route devised by Chris and her husband, Tony, 10 years ago. This walk starts at Saltaire, passes along Bracken Hall Green, and continues over 90 miles to finish in Appleby. …

KEEPING FOOTPATHS OPEN

Baildon Walkers are Welcome volunteers have recently strimmed several footpaths within the town including the footpath along the top of the Bank, the footpath up and down the Bank, and the footpath from Collier Lane to Hope Lane. SUNDAY’S WALK TO EXPLORE THE HISTORY OF BAILDON’S MOORLAND FARMS

Once again rain did not deter walkers from turning out to join local historians Tish and Mike Lawson, to explore the history of former moorland farms around Baildon. TODDLER TROT AND TEDDIES

The first guided walk of Baildon WaW Summer Programme took place on Friday 9 June and despite showery weather, 10 adults and 12 children came along to enjoy a short walk to Hallcliffe Community Garden, some singing, a Teddy Bear’s picnic, and some time to play.
